- The VOPV-12 Digital High-volume Air Sampler is intended for air sampling on filter media with adjustable flow rate. It is used for the sampling and consequent evaluation of radioactive aerosols, particulates, and other compounds in the contaminated air.
- The radioactive pollutants retained on the filter can be subsequently analysed in a laboratory and the nuclide specific volume activities can be calculated. The air sampler can operate in any chosen mode: occasionally, periodically, or continuously.
- Considering its high performance, low maintenance demands and simple operation, the VOPV-12 air sampler can be used as:
- ventilation (suction) unit in bypasses of sampling systems
- sampling unit for the operative activity measurements of aerosols and iodines in working environment air
- sampling unit for continuous activity measurements (and reporting) of aerosols and iodines in the air taken from ventilation stacks
- sampling unit in the outdoor environmental monitoring stations.
- There are two standard models available with respective filter holders: The model with flow rate 20 to 160 m3 /h (11.8 to 94.2 cfm) is intended for aerosol sampling, and the model with flow rate 1.5 to 4.5 m3 /h (0.88 to 2.65 cfm) is intended for iodine (and aerosol) sampling.
- Depending on the purpose, an appropriate filter and VOPV-12 model can be determined. Optionally, the VOPV-12 air sampler can be supplied with a customized flow rate range and customized filter holder. The maximum flow rate could be limited by type and dimension of assigned filters.
